How It Works
Building a NOOKO kit is simple: no experience required, no complicated tools, and one or more evenings with your phone put down. Here's how it works, from choosing your kit to the moment you switch it on.
1. Choose your world
Browse our book nook collections or our 3D wooden puzzles and pick the scene that speaks to you, or the one that will speak to your teen: a Kyoto alley, a midnight bookstore, a craftsman's workshop... Each kit lists its theme, its piece count and its level.
2. Get your kit
Your kit arrives within 5 to 15 business days, depending on your country. You'll get a tracking number by email as soon as your package ships.
3. Build at your own pace
Open the box: pre-cut wooden pieces, illustrated step-by-step instructions in English, and an LED. Allow 2 to 8 hours depending on the format: one evening for the Little Izakaya, several for a large house, in one go or in short twenty-minute sessions. Your phone can wait on the table—that's the whole point.
You don't need any special tools to get started. With book nooks and miniature houses, precision tweezers are even included for free.
4. Display and light it up
Slide your finished scene between two books, or set your miniature house on a piece of furniture. Switch on the LED: your little world comes to life, and the screen can stay off. It's our favorite moment.
What's in every box
- Pre-cut wooden pieces
- Illustrated step-by-step instructions
- An LED to light up your scene
Glue isn't included: any standard wood glue will do. Also worth reading: what supplies you need to make a book nook.
What level do I need?
It depends on the kit: each product page lists its level, from Beginner to Advanced. Beginner kits mostly take patience—if you can follow illustrated instructions, you can build them.
