Our Story

NOOKO started with a simple idea: what if, in the evening, we swapped an hour of screen time for an hour of working with our hands?

In the evening, we wanted something else

We spend our days in front of screens. Work, commutes, messages, and then in the evening, the screen again—more out of habit than desire. We wanted something slow. Something real to set on a shelf after a few evenings.

And we weren't the only ones. In a lot of families, evenings look like a closed bedroom door and a glowing screen. Instead of banning things, we wanted to offer something else: a beautiful, slightly demanding activity you feel proud of at the end, to do alone or together.

That's exactly what a miniature kit offers: a small wooden world you build with your own hands, piece by piece, that lights up once it's finished.

NOOKO selects 3D wooden puzzles to build: laser-cut plywood, illustrated step-by-step instructions, and, for book nooks and miniature houses, an LED to switch on at the end. No experience or complicated tools needed—just a little time and patience.

Our signature product is the book nook: a miniature diorama designed to slide between two books on a shelf. An alley, a bookstore, a workshop—a whole scene that fits in the palm of your hand, lit by a warm glow. You'll find all our designs in our book nook kits.

Around it, the same family of objects in other forms: miniature house kits to build that sit on a piece of furniture and can be admired from every side, with their floors and furniture, and scenes designed as diorama kits, little theaters that capture a moment. Building something slowly, with no notifications and no goal other than the pleasure of doing it. Twenty minutes or two hours, at your own pace.

The light

The moment the scene lights up for the first time. That's when the kit stops being an assembly and becomes a small world.

Every kit tells the story of a place. We choose them for their story, not to fill a catalog, and none of them is licensed: an atmosphere, never merchandise. A NOOKO shelf is built over time, one scene after another, from your first beginner book nook to a weekend model kit.

NOOKO is a young, independent French brand. We're just getting started, so we'd rather tell you that upfront than show off numbers we don't have yet.

What we promise you: to choose kits for their quality and their ability to tell a story, to be transparent about our delivery times and methods, and to stay easy to reach. Our kits are made by specialized workshops, which lets us offer fair prices from day one, with delivery within 5 to 15 business days, depending on your country.
