A red locomotive beneath a great clock: a platform from another era.

An old-time railway station to slip between your books: a red locomotive waiting at the platform, a great clock under an archway, columns, suitcases and a bench on the platform. One touch of the LED lights up the whole scene.

A book nook kit somewhere between a train station and a time machine

The 258 laser-cut wooden parts come together in four to six hours: the archway and its clock, the columns, the locomotive and its wheels, then the platform and its suitcases. Once the scene sits between two books, one touch of the switch lights it up: your bookshelf now has its very own train platform.

Who is it for? For anyone who loves trains or travel stories. For a first book nook, in a classic size. For a gift to build.

Dimensions once built: 18.4 cm wide, 9.8 cm deep, 25 cm tall.

How does it light up?
With a single touch of the switch, connected to a battery box that runs on 2 AAA batteries (not included). No cables to run through your bookshelf.
