The red walking beam of an oil pump, nodding away on your desk.
An old-time oil pump, with its big red and silver walking beam, exposed gears and flame-effect boiler. Once switched on, the beam starts rocking in rhythm under the glow of its little lamps. 127 pieces, about three hours, no glue.
A mechanical model kit where everything moves together
The kit recreates a complete beam pump: the rocking beam, the turning valve, the counterweight and the boiler. Once it's running, the gears drive the beam in a steady nodding motion that's mesmerizing to watch. The parts snap together without glue.
Who is it for? For a fan of industrial history or beautiful mechanics. For a desk piece that moves and lights up.
Dimensions once built: 13.5 × 8 cm footprint, 24 cm tall.

Your questions about the Industrial City Oil Pump
Your questions about this kit
Does the pump really move?
Yes: once switched on, the beam rocks continuously, driven by the gears.
Is it made of wood?
No: the whole Industrial City series is made of rigid plastic parts, with a gold, bronze and black metal-look finish. That's what gives it the look of a real machine.
Do I need glue?
No: the parts fit into one another. No power tools needed.
